Last week’s outfit post had absolutely NO leopard in it, which is very unheard of here. To make up for a leopard-free week, I’ve styled up stripes and leopard. Just pattern mixing like a #blogger over here.
Can you believe I didn’t own a striped tshirt until I picked up this number at Old Navy?! And let me tell you, it’s cozy AF. It’s the perfect mix of fitted but also stretchy and relaxed. Isn’t this just the most poetic paragraph you’ve ever read about a striped shirt?
Anywho, the point of this post is about me being trendy AF and mixing patterns — stripes and leopard to be precise. I mentioned in my last post that I’m really trying to become the post child for Coppenhagen-Paris-NYC style, and I feel like this outfit is a “dressy casual” version of that … sort of. I’d also throw on a leather moto jacket and swap out the leopard heels for leopard sneakers to make the “actual casual” version of this outfit.
Since this post is devolving into a puddle of nonsense, I’ll just leave you here.
Oh look, I’m styling stripes and leopard shoes again like I did here. This time, though, I’m actually bringing in my color with these blush pink pants. I wanted to try something new and challenge myself by dressing down work pants for the weekend.
It’s not very often that I wear anything other than jeans, so I figured it was time I did something different. I wanted to style my work pants (that I never actually ever wear to work because … jeans) for the weekend. I think that by pairing them with a long-sleeve tshirt I was able to make them more casual. Next time, I want to try to style them with sneakers to dress them down even more.
If you couldn’t tell from the photos, it feels as if winter has settled in. I haven’t looked at the long-term weather forecast so I don’t know if it’s here to stay or not, but I don’t hate it. I enjoyed breaking in my favorite winter coats, hats and scarfs over the past few days. Give it a month or two and I’m sure I’ll be begging for fall weather again.
