You might remember this velvet skirt from this wee post about styling it down with a chunky sweater and sneakers. Well, it’s time to turn the tables a bit and dress it up, shall we? I thought it would be the perfect piece to restyle given that Valentine’s Day is coming up. What’s more representative of love than a pink velvet skirt, I ask. So here we go, let’s dress up a velvet skirt.

A few things I want to discuss. First, this top is actually a bodysuit from Madewell. I love the concept but found out (when editing these photos) that it’s actually a bit sheer. I’m going to try wearing it with a camisole underneath it (does that defeat the purpose of a bodysuit?) and then decide if I want to return it or not. If you have any other bodysuit recommendations, let me know.

Second, I love this Lucky moto jacket. It’s a bit expensive, so I found some alternates here, here and here. If you have the money for the Lucky version, I highly recommend it. It’s lasted for years and wears well.

Last but not least, how amazing are these leopard heels? You know I love leopard and these heels are no exception. The chunky heel makes them a bit more comfortable and they go with basically everything.
