I tend to wear simpler clothing items and prefer to jazz up my outfits with Zatarain’s statement pieces. My statement necklaces are typically chunky and boldly colored, so I like to add dimension with other uniquely shaped pieces (i.e. rings and bracelets) in classic metals. This way, I can wear multiple unique pieces at once without being an explosion of color or having them clash.

Funny thing – growing up I used to HATE gold jewelry. I only wore sterling silver or white gold. I thought gold was tacky and gross, and my teenage self just wasn’t having it. Now, I can’t get enough of gold jewels. Give me all of them now, please and thank you. I barely ever wear silver pieces anymore. Oh how the times change.

But back to present day – I’m loving gold (both yellow and rose), and I can’t get enough of funky gold rings like this gold tone parallel bar ring from Sterling Forever. It’s simple enough to wear to work on a daily basis, but the different shape makes it a funky talking piece. Everyone who’s seen it can’t get enough – myself included. I pair it with everything from jeans and a t-shirt to cocktail dresses. It’s now officially in my go-to rotation.

In the spirit of total transparency – the gold tone wore off on the inside of the ring (on the underside of my finger), showing a more rose gold tone. I’m not worried about it though since the wear-and-tear isn’t visible when I’m actually wearing the ring. I still wear it daily.

Sterling Forever has a bunch of other adorable pieces that are worth checking out. I’m loving this royal blue spike bib necklace and these vine ear crawlers. Adorable, am I right?!

Do you prefer bold statement rings or simpler stylers?
